VALLETTA LOCAL COUNCIL

Dear Friends,
As Mayor of Valletta, I am glad to invite you for the 37th FECC convention taking place in Valletta, Malta between the 15th and 22nd May 2017. This conventio
n comes at an interesting period for Malta since at the moment, Valletta is hosting the Presidency of the EU and we’re currently preparing for next year when Valletta will become the European Capital of Culture. I am sure that because of this, the 37th FECC convention will be a memorable one.
The convention offers a great opportunity to meet with the representatives of carnival organizations worldwide in order to discuss how to enrich carnival all over the globe.
Since we share the same common interest, we invite you to actively participate and use this opportunity to have discussions of possible future collaborations between Local Councils, Carnival organizers, other members and the FECC as the governing body.
During the convention in Valletta, we have prepared a very interesting program varying from cultural events, concerts, excursions, boat trips and much more. We will be also visiting our sister Island of Gozo and will provide you with the option to visit our neighboring country Italy since we are organizing a day trip to the island of Sicily, which is just an hour away by fast ferry.

We have worked hard to guarantee that every person attending the conference will get the best service ever and on leaving our beautiful Valletta; one would take with him some unique memories to treasure.
