President’s message
In the past weeks I have visited many FECC carnivalcities in Slovenia,Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia and The Netherlands. During these
visits I have met several carnivalgroups from other countries as well.(Belgium,Italia, Albania,Ukraine etc). I have noticed an enormous enthusiasm under the youth. The exchange which has been
reached by the FECC is appreaciated very much. Concerning the present crises within the board, I am happy to present a new candidate board .The new candidates are :

In der vergangenen Wochen habe ich viele FECC Karnevalsstädte in Slovenien, Kroatien, Bulgarien, die Niederlanden und Mazedonien besucht. Während dieser Besuchen habe ich mit vielen Karnevalsgesellschaften aus andere Länder gesprochen (Italien, Belgien, Ukraine, Albanien u.s.w.).Ich habe eine grossartige Begeisterung der Jugend bespürt. Der Austausch welche durch die FECC erreicht ist, wird sehr gewürdigt.In Bezug auf die Vorstandkrise, ich bin froh einen neuen Vorstand zu präsentieren.Die neuen Kandidaten sind :

Mitglieder. Ein von unseren Zielsetzungen ust um unsere
Mitglieder so viel möglich zu besuchen und zu beraten.
Der Vorstand ist keinen Discussionklub, jedoch ein Zentrum der
Verbrüderung.
Belgium
In the weekend of 9-10-11th March there will take place the Midlent (Mi-carème) celebration in Arlon. The last years Arlon has done enormous efforts to travel to various carnival cities in the Balkans. Even they have created an own groups as Suvacars/Kurents which you could sede already in Pernik(Bulgaria). Many groups from those countries will come to Arlon. It will be a real
spectacle.
On 28th April 2012 will take place the EUROPEAN CARNIVALPARADE
in Louvain. The start will be at 15.11 o’clock. This unique event is also a celebration of 20 years FECC Belgium. Info :

Im Wochende von 9.-10.-11.März findet das Mi-Carème-Fest statt in der Stadt Arlon. Die letzten Jahren hat Arlon viel Leistung getan um verschiedene Karnevalsstädte im Balkan zu besuchen. Selbst hat mann eine “Suvacar”Gruppe gebildet. Viele Karnevalsgruppe werden in Arlon aus den Balkan erwartet.
Am 28.April 2012 finder in Leuven der EUROPAISCHE KARNEVALSUMZUG

Personalia
Aleksander Cicimov (Strumiga, Macedonia) has been decorated by the municipality of Strumiga as honourable citizens for all his efforts for his city.
Radusko Jankovic ( Sabac, Serbia ) has received the award “Distinguished individuals in the field of tourism formal events”.
Henry van der Kroon will celebrate his 70th birthday on 3rd April next.
Aleksander Cicimov (Strumiga, Mazedonien) ist durch den Stadtrat von Strumiga gewürdigt als Ehrebürger für seine Leistung für
die Stadt.
Radusko Jankovic (Sabac, Serbien) hat den Preis (Belohnung) “lobenswerte Individuellen für formelle touristischen Ereignissen” bekommen.
Henk van der Kroon feiert am 3.April 2012 seinen 70.Geburtstag.

FECC Carnival City Webmaster CM Collins dropped in on two spectacular Carnavals hosted by FECC Carnaval Cities on the way to down to
Rio.
Argentina
The northern Argentinean National Carnaval Capital of Corrientes holds a spectacle that last late into the early morning every Saturday during February in their special parade stadium called the Corsodromo.
Uruguay
Meanwhile the capital of Uruguay Montevideo takes pride in holding the longest Carnaval approaching
nearly 80 days by some counts.The Lalamadas parade is its most traditional and famous event. The parade of many candomble comparsas happens in the old city and also tempts the dawn to rise.

Deutschland/Germany
FECC Youth Camp
FECC Germany organizes the FECC-Youth Camp from 14th-21st July 2012 in
Cottbus. The accommodation will be in Youth Hostel or in tents, camping
near the river Spree. The all-in price is only €.90,00 in tents / in
hostals €.130,00 and in youth hotels €.160,00.
All prices include the whole program and all meals. You can reach Cottbus over the airports Berlin and Dresden.FECC-Deutschland organize a shuttle service.
In the programme are ; Carnival party, visit hot springs in Spreewald, sightseeing in Cottbus and Berlin, dance evenings and barbecue. Visit

A final night with carnivalists of Golssen and Luckau.

Macedonia
In the last week there were carnivals in Strumiga and Prilep. Both cities have received large delegations of carnival groups from Belgium, Albania, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzigova, Bulgaria. By the enormous snow in the Balkans there were no possibilities for groups from Poland, Montenegro and Romania. In Strumiga there were many diplomats and members of parliament.
The sun was great in Strumiga. Also the famous Maskenball was a real success.
In Prilep the gods of weather were not so friendly. The whole day there
was rain, but fortunately the participants did ignore the rainfalls. The mayor Mr. Marjan Risteski was a good host and had made great
preparations for the coming FECC convention. The board members David Brandao and Henry van der Kroon has visited Hotel Montana in Krusevo for a final inspection.

In der letzten Woche waren Karnevals in Strumiga und Prilep.Beide Städte haben grosse Delegationen und Karnevalsgesellschaften empfangen aus
Belgien, Albanien, Kroatien, Serbien, Slovenien, Bosnien-Herzigovina, Bulgarien. Durch die grosse Schneefälle könnten die Teilnehmer aus Polen
, Romänien und Montenegro nicht kommen.In Strumiga waren viele Diplomaten. Auch das Maskenball war grossartig. Weil es Sonne gab in
Strumiga war es leider regnerisches Wetter in Prilep.Die Teilnehmende Gruppen haben das Wetter glücklich ignoriert. Der Oberbürgermeister Herr Marjan Risteski war einen guten Gastgeber und hat viele Vorbereitungen getroffen für das kommende FECC Treffen.Die Vorstandmitglieder David

Netherlands
On 18th March will be organized the national general assembly for FECC-Netherlands.
During this meeting there will be elected a new board. Netherlands expect to participate with a large delegation to the Prilep Convention.
Am 18.März organisiert FECC-die Niederlande die Generalhauptversammlung.
Während dieser Sammlung wird einen neuen Vorstand gewählt. Die
niederländische Sektion erwart mit einer grossen Delegation zu Prilep zu
kommen
