President’s message

Dear friends,

We can see backwards to a successful 33^rd Convention with more than 125 participants from 18 Nations. I was impressed of the number of candidates of cities for hosting FECC conventions in 2016, 2017 and 2018. (Odessa, Valletta, Cottbus, Helsinki, Sabac). The Mayors of Limassol (Cyprus) and Bol (Croatia) have made a nice presentation and the decision was made for the 2015 FECC Convention, namely Bol (island Brac). New members from Serbia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia and Croatia were approved during the General Assembly. Finally the extraordinary G.A. has approved the voting right for members outside Europe. The audit committee has approved the balances of 2011 and 2012 and has condemned the refusal and  boycott of the former treasurer.

 Wir koennen zurueckblicken an einer erfolgreichen 33.Treffen mit mehr als 125 Teilnehmer aus 18 Nationen. Ich was beeindruckt ueber die Zahl von Kandidaten Gastgeber fuer zukuenftige Treffen in 2016, 2017 und 2018 (Odessa, Valletta, Cottbus, Helsinki und Sabac). Die Buergermeister von Limassol (Zypern) und Bol (Kroatien)  haben schoene Praesentationen geliefert, weiterhin ist veranlasst um das FECC Treffen in 2015 stattfindet in Bol (kroatische Insel Brac). Neue Mitglieder aus Bulgarien, Serbien, Belgien, Slovenien und Kroatien werden gebilligt waehrend der Jahreshauptversammlung. Auch wird waehrend einer aussergewoehnlichen Jahrehauptversammlung einstimmig beschlossen FECC Mitglieder ausserhalb Europa wahlberechtigt zu machen. Die Kassenrevisoren haben die Jahresberichten 2011 und 2012 zu billigen und haben die ehemalige Schatzmeisterin verurteilt wegen ihrer Boykott und Verweigerung fuer Mitarbeit.

Wij kunnen terugblikken naar een succesvolle 33^e Conventie met meer dan 125 deelnemers uit 18 landen. Ik was onder de indruk over het aantal kandidaat gaststeden voor een toekomstige FECC conventie voor 2016, 2017 en 2018 (Odessa, Valletta, Cottbus, Helsinki en Sabac). De burgemeesters van Limassol (Cyprus) en Bol (Kroatisch eiland Brac) hebben een mooie presentatie gegeven voor de komende in 2014 en 2015. Er is besloten dat de 35^eConventie in Bol zal plaats vinden. Nieuwe leden uit Servie, Bulgarije, Belgie, Nederland , Slovenie , en Kroatie werden geaccepteerd. Tenslotte werd door de Algemene Jaarvergadering besloten dat FECC leden buiten Europa stemrecht krijgen. De kascommissie heeft de jaarstukken over 2011 en 2012 goedgekeurd en hun afkeuring uitgesproken over de weigering van de voormalige penningmeester om mee te werken aan de overdracht.

 Montenegro

The famous summer carnival 2013 in Kotor will take place on 3rd and 4th August.

In the 14th century the commerce of Kotor, as the city was then called, rivaled that of the nearby Republic of Ragusa, and provoked the jealousy of Venice. Kotor was part of the Venetian Albania province of the Venetian Republic from 1420 to 1797, except for periods of Ottoman administration between 1538-1571 and 1657-1699. Those four centuries gave to the city the typical Venetian baroque architecture, that has contributed to make Kotor an UNESCO “world patrimony”.

 The FECC has decided to appoint Ms.Ljerka Dragicevic (member of parliament) as national general deputy of FECC Montenegro (email : ljerka@t-com.me ) . The main carnivalcities in Montenegro are Kotor, Budva and Tuzi.

Der beruemte Sommerkarneval 2013 in Kotor findet statt am 3.und 4.August 2013. Die FECC hat beschlossen Frau Ljerka Dragicevic (Parlamentsmitglied) als nationale Generalabgeordneter FECC-Montenegro. Die wichtigste Karnevalsstaedte in Montenrgo sind Kotor, Budva und Tuzi.

Het beroemde zomercarnaval 2013 van Kotor vindt dit jaar plaats op 3 en 4 augustus a.s.

Het FECC heeft besloten om Mevr.Ljerka Dragicevic (parlementslid) te benoemen als general deputy voor Montenegro ( ljerka@t-com.me ). De belangrijkste carnavalssteden in Montenegro zijn Kotor, Budva en Tuzi.

Die Sommerkarnevals in Serbien sind ein Phaenomen. Alle Serbische Karnevals finden statt in Juni, Juli und September. Der Karneval von Bela Crkva findet stat tam 29.Juni, der Schiffkarneval von Belgrado findet stat tam Ufer der Donau am 6.Juli 2013 und der Sommerkarneval von Leskovac wird sein am 12.und 13.Juli 2013, weil der Karneval von Sabac in September statt findet. Der 3.Internationale Karneval von Pozeravac findet in der letzte Woche von August statt.

Het zomercarnaval is een echt fenomeen in Servie. Alle Servische carnavals vinden plaats in de maanden Juni, Juli en September. Het carnaval van Bela Crkva vindt plaats op 29 juni a.s., het bootcarnaval vindt plaats op de oevers van de Donau op 6 juli a.s. in Belgrado. Het zomercarnaval van Leskovac vindt plaats op 12 en 13 juli a.s. plaats, terwijl Sabac haar carnaval viert in de eerste week van September. Het 3^e Internationale carnaval van Pozarevac vindt plaats in het laatste weekend van Augustus.

On 20th June 2013 our friend Huub Bongers ( 91 years) has passed away . He was a real authority in the Neth.Antilles. He was the founder of the famous carnivalclub “ De KABRIETEN”

Am 20. Juni 2013 ist unserer Freund Huub Bongers (91 Jahr) gestorben. Er war eine richtige Autoritaet in der Niederl.Antillen. Er war der Gruender der Karnevalsgesellschaft “ De KABRIETEN”

Op 20 juni j.l. is onze vriend Huub Bongers op de leeftijd van 91 jaar gestorven. Op de Nederlandse Antillen was hij een echte autoriteit niet alleen rektor op een middelbare school, doch ook als oprichter en grootvorst van de carnavalsvereniging DE KABRIETEN
