Dimi Mavropoulos King of Limassol Carniaval 2014 is also King of the Road
The Cyprus Historic and Classic Motor Museum debuted in Limassol during the 2014 Carnival season!
The building of the museum, begun in 2000, is due to the vision and persistence of veteran Rally Racing champion of International and Cypriot rally competitions, Mr. Dimi Mavropoulos.
Among the more than 90 cars, you will also find the famous and well known green «Mini» with the lock on the side from Mr. Bean’s movies and one of the Rover P5 cars of 1973 used by the “Iron Lady” Margaret Thatcher,
previous Prime Minister of the UK.
After many years of efforts, the museum opened its doors to the public on the 1st of February 2014.
Located in the Ypsonas Area of Limassol in a spacious 1000 square meters, you will admire Classic, Historic and Collectible Cars. The museum highlights the cultural importance of the development and growth of the automobile industry. The oldest car in the collection at the moment is a Ford “T” roadster from 1912, which currently has 102 years of life on the road. The newest vehicle is a collectible piece from 2004. Each visitor can enjoy a different yet memorable experience learning the progress of the vehicles through the passage of time.
