President’s message
Dear friends, Liebe Freunden/chèr Amis
I want to inform you my experience during the 37th FECC Convention in Valletta (Malta). It was our 4th visit to this island and directly I observe an enormous progress in the infrastructure and public buildings( example airport). The participation was large again ca.170 participants. The Belgians (Arlon, Louvain) and Germans(Braunschweig, Cottbus) were with 65 participants the largest delegation. Furthermore was Aruba present again. The participation of persons under the 40 years was impressive. The following decisions were:
- Mr.Goerge Zahra was appointed unanimously as FECC Senator
- The candidature of Rijeka (Croatia) for hosting the 40th FECC Convention.
- The international board and treasurer were approved by the General Assembly
- The dates of the Dies Natalis 2017 in DNIPRO (Ukraine)
- Mr. Peter Balogh has been appointed as General Deputy of the USA following the resignation and previously approved assession to become the first female Senator of Odessa Pegus
The accommodation in Seashells Resort in St.Paul’s Bay was great.
Ich möchte meine Erfahrung während des 37.FECC Treffen in Valletta (Malta) mitteilen. Es war das 4.Mal das wir diese Insel besuchten und haben sofort einen Fortschritt der Infrastructur und Publicumsgebäude beobachtet. Die Teilnahme was wieder gross ungefähr 170 Teilnehmer. Die Belgen (Arlon, Leuven) und die Deutscher (Braunschweig, Cottbus) waren mit 65 Teilnehmer die grösste Delegation. Weiterhin was Aruba wieder anwesend. Die Teilnahme unter 40 Jahr war beeindrucksvoll. Die folgenden Beschlüsse sind :
- Herr George Zahra wird einstimmig wie FECC Senator gewählt
- Die Kandidatur der Stadt Rijeka (Kroatiën) wie Gastgeber des 40.FECC Treffen
- Die Generalversammlung hat Den Schatzmeister und Vorstand Décharge erteilt.
- Der Termin des Dies Natalis 2017 in Dnipro (Ukraine)
- Rechtsanwalt Peter Barlogh ist angestellt wie General Deputy for USA
Die Akkommodation in Seashells Resort in St.Paul’s Bay war ausgezeichnet.
Ik wil deze rubriek gebruiken om mijn ervaring gedurende de 37e FECC conventie in Valletta (Malta) aan nu mee te delen. Het was de 4e keer dat wij dit eiland bezocht en direct bemerkte ik een enorme verbetering van de infrastructuur en de publieke gebouwen (zoals airport etc.). De deelname was circa 170 personen. De Belgen (zoals Arlon, Leuven) en de Duitsers (zoals Braunschweig , Cottbus ect.) waren de grootste delegatie met samen 65 personen, Verder was ook Aruba aanwezend. De deelname van leden onder de 40 was indrukwekkend. De volgende besluiten zijn genomen :
- Dhr.George Zahra is unaniem als FECC senator gekozen
- De kandidatuur van Rijeka (Kroatie) als gastheer voor de 40e FECC Conventie
- De algemene jaarvergadering heeft de penningmeester en het bestuur décharge verleend
- Het programma en de dagen van de Dies Natalis 2017 in Dnipro (Oekraine)
- De advokaat Peter Barlogh is als nieuwe general deputy voor de USA benoemd.
De hotel-accommodatie in Seashells Resort in St.Paul’s Bay was voortreffelijk

The famous samba carnival of the Assocation of the Finnish sambaschools is on 9th and 10th June next.

Apollo live club in Helsinki will host on 9th June 2017
Noit des Fantasia in Helsinki host at 10th June the Baile de Carnaval
CROATIA
The calender 2017 of the Croatian carnivals are :
- 3th June 2017 Ivanic Grad
- 29th July 2017 on the island PAG
- 8th till 10th September 2017 Brac on island BOL
DENMARK
The carnival of Copenhagen will be during the Pentecost 3th and 4th June 2017.

SWEDEN
The Hammanküllen Carnival 2017 in Götenborg took place from 26th till 28th May 2017. The parade was on 27th Maay.
Der Hammanküllen Karneval 2017 aus Götenborg hat stattgefunden von 26. bis 28.Mai 2017. Der Umzug war am Samstag27.Mai 2017.
De Hammanküllen Carnaval 2017 had van 26 tort 28 mei j.l. plaats gevonden. De carnavalsoptcht had plaats gevonden op
Zaterdag 27 mei j.l.
UKRAINE
The Dies Natalis 2017 will take place in DNIPRO from 29th September untill 2nd October 2017.
There are 2 possibilities to come to Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk) namely:
- By airplan to Kiev and then the train to Dnipro (5 hours)
- Direct flight to Dnipro
